I think cooperation is very important. Space exploration requires a lot of money, which is heavy in any country. So countries should cooperate to complete space programs. I am very pleased to meet with the Chinese astronauts. They have done a lot of outstanding work and I hope they can do more. I hope China can continue to support the manned space program so that more Chinese astronauts can go to space.

(Shannon Matilda Wells Lucid is a retired NASA astronaut. At one time, she held the record for the longest duration stay in space by an American, as well as by a woman. She has flown in space five times including a prolonged mission aboard the Mir space station in 1996.)
